The Bridgehampton Union Free School District hosted their its annual elementary school election. Students learned the importance of voting and the election process. The student candidates spent a month preparing their campaign, for which where they created their own commercials and, posters that hung around the school, and built out campaign teams to help promote themselves. After candidates gave their speeches, which were followed by a Q&A from their peers, gGrades K-5 casted their ballots. Our newly elected cClass pPresident is Andy Caberera and vVice pPresident is Naomi Flores! Other candidates were Stella Acton-Bond, Madelyn Hagerman and Daniela Herrera and Madelyn Hagerman. Ms. Hamra Ozsu, the Elementary Student Council dDirector, was impressed with the students’' enthusiasm. We look forward to next year’s race., Ccongratulations to all who participated!
