This past weekend some of our first and second grade students embarked on an educational expedition to Rye, New York, to participate in the regional tournament for Destination Imagination. The global volunteer-led nonprofit organization hosts team challenges where students get to showcase their unique solutions to science, technology, engineering, arts, math and service learning. Teachers Caitlin Hansen, Rebecca Kave and Jennifer Suarez worked with our student team to create a response to the Rising Star’s “Making a Splash” challenge.

From imagination to innovation, students researched ocean habitats and created a play with characters from different ocean habitats. Students worked together to create a script, costumes and scenery for their performance.

Bridgehampton proudly offers this opportunity for students interested in STEM or art.
