Our Bridgehampton students are busy bees whether they’re in the classroom or learning in the community.

The fifth-grade class visited the Southampton High School Multimedia Planetarium and learned about the solar system. Resident Southampton astronomy teacher Mr. John Walsh led the students’ instruction and brought them to the edge of the universe, creating a completely immersive experience!

Also, this week, our Advanced Nutrition and Culinary Class visited Suffolk County Community College’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality program in Riverhead. Our upper-level students received a tour of the classrooms by chef and adjunct professional assistant Satoko Matthews. Chef Matthews and the students participated in a cooking demo where they made some fresh pizza. To wrap up the trip, students had lunch at SCCC Culinary Art’s Bakeshop, where food is prepared and sold to the public.
