This month in guidance counselor Ryan Barker’s character education lessons, our Bridgehampton students read "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" which talks about the power of goodwill. Students then designed their own buckets and wrote letters of kindness to fill their classmates' buckets.

Exercises like this showcase social and emotional learning, a foundation for success and an integral part of adolescent development. Our students acquire and apply this knowledge to develop healthy identities, manage emotions, establish and maintain relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions. This pillar of our education creates learning environments to empower students to thrive in school and within our community.
