Bridgehampton School is immersing itself in the richness of Hispanic culture during Hispanic Heritage Month.
Between Sept. 15 and Oct. 15, our students and staff came together to honor 22 different Hispanic cultures. On the morning announcements they shared fascinating facts and traditions, and in their language classes they learned about cultural practices that offer our students a deeper understanding and appreciation of Hispanic heritage.
To conclude their celebrations, the world language teachers organized a field trip to The Metropolitan Opera where our students saw a Spanish opera, “Ainadamar,” performed through Flamenco dance. The performance celebrated Hispanic culture, language, music and dance in this positive, enriching environment.
This commitment to celebrating and learning about these diverse traditions fosters an environment of inclusivity and cultural awareness for the entire school community.
