In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday in March, Ms. Minichello’s class, Ms. Rodrigues’s class and Ms. Pronesti’s sixth grade class participated in festivities inspired by his books.

As part of their “Book Buddies” series the students took turns reading “Green Eggs and Ham” while enjoying the snack together. They also worked with oobleck, a fluid made from corn starch and water that temporarily solidifies when a force is applied, inspired by “Bartholomew and the Oobleck.” To finish off the jubilee the students created parachutes, inspired by “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”

They all watched their parachutes fly from the staircase; it was fun to see what techniques worked. These experiences showcase how fortunate Bridgehampton School students are to be a part of such a tight-knit community.
