The Bridgehampton School District hosted a
parent/staff/student/volunteer kick-off dinner to start the Robotics
Club competitive season and to honor two community volunteers who have
been instrumental in the success of the robotics program - Julie
Burmeister and Jonathan Fletcher. Mrs. Burmeister is a former science
teacher who has supported the program since its initiation six years ago
and Mr. Fletcher, an employee of Liberty Ironworks in Southampton,
brings his unparalleled metal fabrication expertise to the program. The

weekends to mentor Bridgehampton students. The district congratulates
all the students involved in the Robotics Club and advisers Ms. Judiann
Carmack-Fayyaz and Mr. Luke Ferland as well mentor Mr. Kenneth Giosi.
The team will compete in 2020 in the FIRST Robotics International
