Each year for a week in March, New York State Agriculture in the Classroom funds and provides a book and activity for students to learn more about a new fruit or vegetable that's grown in New York State. This year in Mrs. Pluta’s class our students learned about strawberries by reading "I Love Strawberries!" by Shannon Anderson.

Special thanks to Ms. Marta Blanco, MS, NDTR, CLC the Senior Bilingual Nutritionist from our local Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County who gave us a copy of the book to celebrate this year!
