Thank you to the numerous students who took part in
Bridgehampton School’s onsite six-week Extended School Year program.
Students performed various job responsibilities under the guidance of a
job coach at the school’s student-operated greenhouse and farmstand
Sprouts. Under the leadership of teacher Ms. Judiann Carmack-Fayaz, the
students worked to set up the farmstand on Thursday and Friday mornings
throughout the summer.
“Sprouts is a wonderful hands-on opportunity for students to
participate in a real work-based learning environment,” said
Superintendent of Schools Robert Hauser. “Not only do they enjoy the
collaborative work, the summer program effectively helps students to
maintain and continue to progress in skills from individual
responsibility to teamwork.”
Thank you to student Isaiah Brodie who was responsible for
helping to coordinate summer student workers and volunteers.
